Denver is the California of the mountain region. I predict 0% chance this ends up outside of committee. You have the least intellectually honest or rational political class outside of Santa Monica. Good luck though and I truly hope I misread CO politics. Everybody east of Denver routinely gets screwed by the idiot Polis and his band of merry corrupt Dems.
Colorado Springs Utility used to have a coal plant right in the center of the City. What a boon for stability and voltage control, most system operators would kill to have that. BUT the greenies won and shut it down.
Greenies are trying to get Rawhide killed too. It’s a coal and nat gas plant in Northern Colorado almost at the Wyoming border that provides power to Platte River Power Authority, a generation agency owned by several Northern Colorado cities and towns.

I thought Rawhide was a done deal, did it get a reprieve?
Not that I know of but given the power crunch the utility is having I suspect it might get reversed.
