Germany’s total carbon output has been increasing year on year. I recently visited Germany and was shocked to find huge areas or woodland that had been cleared for solar PV, all of which was covered in snow. 🙁
Meanwhile Germany has just out-bid the entire developing world for purchase of LNG.
They have not de-carbonized, they have offshored the carbon.
Do they just not understand the numbers?
There should be a higher price for electricity sold to Germany from the rest of Europe.
Ramping coal usage and higher energy prices always get me in the mood.
