“You just cannot make this stuff up. Don't even try.”
-
of Energy Transition AbsurditiesEarlier today, I visited a supermarket in an undisclosed location in Colorado to purchase a few items.
Said few items could have easily been carried in a Noble Climate Friendly form of transportation but this area has not been blessed with a network of “protected” bicycle lanes “for all ages and abilities.” In other words, Cluster B(ike) Activists have not yet blessed colonized this area1.
So, I drove a “two-ton killing machine2” (SUV) instead.
-At least I remembered to bring some reusable bags and from someone who has used them since 2008 I can say I’ve beat many!
Because I’m such a heroic fighter for the Noble Gaia, the grocery store bagger was kind enough to reward me with placing this sticker on one of the items I purchased.
Plastic, as any Good Person knows, is (begin Valley Girl accent) like toooootally bad for Noble Gaia.
It’s a good thing plastic bags were banned all across the state of Colorado starting at the beginning of the year. This, uh, undisclosed location, however, had beat the state to a plastic bag ban for almost two years.
Does that make this sticker pointless? It may feel that way to you, but to me, it’s a reward for my awesomeness in willing to save the planet.
Don’t deny my lived experience.
They’re too busy ruining the Denvers and Boulders of the state.
Nevermind we were about to get dumped on by a winter storm!
You can get everything in a grocery store packaged in plastic, but you can’t get a plastic bag to carry them home.
You would think our world has no bigger concerns than shopping bags. The NJ police state banned plastic shopping bags a year and a half ago in various counties. I feel relieved knowing the government can micro manage our lives but can’t stop the egregious problems with immigration, crime and expenses.
